LEH, Dec 1: The Government of Ladakh today accorded sanction to the constitution of a Multi Sectoral Committee for coordination among various departments/agencies to follow up the decisions of the Committee of Secretaries of the Government of India to achieve the goal of Carbon Neutral Ladakh.
The Multi Sectoral Committee will be comprised of Advisor as chairman, Administrative Secretaries of PWD/Mechanical, Finance, Planning and PDD as members and Chief Wildlife warden/Member Secretary Pollution Control Committee, Ladakh as member secretary.
Besides, the committee will also have Deputy Commissioner Leh/Kargil, Project Director LREDA/KREDA LAHDC Ladakh and Chief Conservator of Forests Ladakh as its members.
