MULBPA expresses concern over hike in petrol prices

JAMMU, July 10: Municipal and Urban Local Bodies Pensioners Association (MULBPA) has expressed concern over the continuous increase in the prices of petrol and diesel.
In a meeting here today chaired by B.S Jamwal, Association president the speakers expressed resentment against the 30 per cent hike in passenger fares in J&K.
They said, on one side the government has freezed the Dareness Allowance of employees and pensioners upto ending June 2021 while on the other hand prices of commodities are being hiked making the life of poor and lower class pensioners miserable.
The Association members urged upon the Prime Minister to intervene so that prices of petrol and diesel can be brought under control.
Attar Singh, K.G Khajuria, B.D Verma, Jawahar Lal Sharma, S.K Sharma, Mahesh Sharma, Rattan Lal and others were also present in the meeting.
