JAMMU, Nov 7: Former Minister and senior Congress leader Mula Ram has sought the public support to win Assembly election from Raipur-Domana constituency.
Addressing public meeting at Kala Kan village in Raipur-Domana today, Mula Ram said that he had devoted his life for the service to the people since 1983 when late Indira Gandhi gave him Party’s mandate. He said the people of this constituency also rendered him full support in 2002 elections and he served the entire constituency with full dedication.
He claimed that several major projects like artificial lake at Mishriwalla, Degree College for Raipur-Domana, improving power infrastructure and drinking water supply were taken up by him during his tenure as an MLA. But for the last several years, the development in this area has been stopped. He cautioned the people to remain vigilant from the people who believe in hollow slogans and exploit people on communal lines. He said the people also fell prey to them during last elections and later, those who won elections on `Bum Bum Bole’ issue and exploited religious sentiments of people stood exposed. The Congress leader asked people to give him a chance to serve them once again.
PCC secretary, Hari Singh Chib and Block president Tallantar Singh also spoke on the occasion and sought support of the people on the development plank of Congress party.
