JAMMU, May 3: Reiterating that policies and programmes of his party are formulated to address aspirations of all regions and sub-regions of the State, patron of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Mufti Mohammad Sayeed said that his party had proved how to treat all sections of the society equally by providing equal opportunities of growth and development to all individuals.
“PDP led regime has set an example of good governance and carved out a path of equitable development in the State”, Mufti said while addressing a function to welcome eminent lawyer AV Gupta, who joined PDP in presence of senior leaders of the party on Thursday evening at Channi Himmat.
Seeking support of the civil society of Jammu to implement visionary policies of the PDP, Mufti said that attaining power was not the only aim of PDP. He said that PDP wants to change destiny of the people of J and K and to set up a pro-people corruption free transparent and accountable system. “It is my desire to make Jammu and Kashmir an island of peace wherein every individual will get equal opportunities to growth and development”, he said.
PDP patron, while highlighting achievements of his Government, reminded the gathering that after formation of PDP led Government various projects were started for the development of Jammu region.
Speaking on the occasion, advocate A V Gupta said that he has decided to join PDP due to the policies and programmes of the party.
Sardar Rangil Singh, T S Bajwa, Rafiq Hussain Khan, MLA, Yashpal Sharma, MLC, Basharat Bukhari, Ved Mahajan, Daman Bhasin, Dinesh Gupta, CCB Chairman, Hussain Ali Wafa, Falail Singh and others were present in the function.
