MSME PCI to aware J&K youth, women about schemes

JAMMU, May 20: MSME Promotion Council of India (PCI) under the chairmanship of Pradeep Mishra Sarkar here today discussed how the common people of J&K can take benefits from the schemes of MSME.
In a press conference Mishra announced Gunjan Sharma as Chairperson for J&K and Leh for MSME Promotion Council of India.
He also announced the appointment of Dr. Himja Mengi, Vice Chairman JK UT; Rahul Sharma, Vice Chairman Jammu and Subash Chander, Vice Chairman Jammu.
Mishra further said that MSME PCI takes the employment schemes of Government of India to every nook and corner of India and is presently working in 22 States and 445 Districts of the country helping youth and women to become self-sufficient in earning the livelihood.
He said that they are going to organise an awareness programme in this regard for which Gunjan Sharma has been appointed as Chairperson.
“We will work here to help and promote small traders and entrepreneurs also,” Mishra maintained adding that there are many schemes by the State and Central Governments for the youth to enable them earn a livelihood but very few are aware about that.
“We have helped 62000 families across the country to earn a livelihood and the awareness is this regard is done by a team of 64 persons at district level with a good number of women which visits every corner of the district to aware the unemployed persons regarding the schemes.
