DODA, May 20: Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Jammu Zone, Anand Jain, along with Deputy Commissioner (DC) Doda Harvinder Singh, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) DKR Shridhar Patil and SSP Doda Javaid Iqbal, conducted an inspection of the Rifle Shooting Hall near the Sports Stadium, here today.
The inspection was aimed at assessing the facilities and equipment available for Rifle Shooting practice and training in the region.
ADGP Anand Jain highlighted the importance of promoting sports like Rifle Shooting, which not only serves as a recreational activity but also helps in developing discipline and focus among the youth. He emphasized that such sports can play a crucial role in channeling the energy of young individuals in a positive direction.
The district administration Doda, under the direction of DDC Doda has made great efforts and taken the initiative to introduce Rifle Shooting in the Indoor Stadium to promote the sport among the youth. This initiative is a significant step towards providing better sports infrastructure in the region.
During the visit, the ADGP and other officers interacted with the trainers and participants at the Rifle Shooting Hall. They took the opportunity to encourage the participants to continue their pursuit of excellence in the sport. The officers underscored the need for adequate infrastructure and support to nurture budding talent in Rifle Shooting.
Rifle Shooting, a precision sport, requires high levels of concentration and control, making it an excellent medium for developing these skills among young people. The officers reiterated their commitment to improving sports facilities in Doda to ensure that local athletes have the resources they need to succeed at higher levels of competition.
