JAMMU, May 19: Activists of Mission Statehood Jammu Kashmir (MSJK) here today staged a protest demonstration demanding ban the sale of liquor in J&K.
The protest was led by MSJK president, Sunil Dimple who said that the sale of liquor should be banned to make ‘Nash Mukta Abhiyan’ successful in J&K.
He claimed that in Jammu city the government has opened 300 liquor shops and threatened for J&K band for the ban of liquor demand.
The MSJK leader demanded that the LG and CM Omar Abdullah should hold cabinet meetings to ban the sale of liquor in J&K.
He further claimed that all the 29 BJP MLAs never demanded the closure of liquor shops in Jammu city.
Dev Raj, Kala Kumar, Vipan, Mukesh, Rakesh Sharma, Ram Kumar Das, Akbar Khan, Shafi Khan and many others were also present in the protest.
