MP Ladakh for preservation of Dard Aryan ethnic’s identity

NEW DELHI, Dec 19: Member of Parliament from Ladakh Parliamentary constituency, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal raised the demands for promotion and preservation of culture, identity and ethnicity of Dard Aryan through comprehensive policies from Government including multiple programmes of All India Radio and Doordarshan of Leh, Kargil and Kashmir.
The Tribe which abodes in the lap of Himalayan belt with the population of 4000 approximately believed to be the original descendants of pure Aryan race. Numerous historians and writers have been mapping the historical aspect of Dards which entail to be pure, unique and original Tribe in every aspect.

MP Jamyang Tsering Namgyal emphasized that the community is spreading from Dha, Hanu, Darchik, Garkhone, Sanatse, Shartse, Gargradho, Chulichan, Karkit-Badgam, Kaksar, Drass Subdivision and Gurez and Talel Valley of Kashmir in India, and Ganoks in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir. Their unique physical features, social life, ethnic culture, and language are now threatened due to their depleting numbers and assimilating with other societies in terms of marriage and social relations.
While requesting to Cultural Minister in Parliament, MP JTN recalled the roles of the people of this community during all conflict times with Pakistan particularly in 1999 Kargil war and applauded the heroic contribution of this community in defending border along with Line of Actual Control. MP JTN focused on degradation and delusion one of India’s beauties ethnicities in the land of unity in diversity which locating in the belt of Kishanganga, Astor Valley, and Indus river as a descendent of Galo, Melo and Dulo in Ladakh.
He further appealed Government of India to include programmes on Dardi Aryan Language and telecast the same through All India Radio and Doordarshan Kendras of Leh, Kargil and Kashmir in the interest of national integration and border security along with preservation and promotion of the distinctive culture as well.
