MP inaugurates community hall in Khour block

AKHNOOR, Oct 28: Senior Congress leader and Member Parliament from Jammu-Poonch constituency, Madan Lal Sharma dedicated a newly constructed community hall at village Palial in Dori Dager Panchayat of Khour block today.
The funds to the tune of Rs 8.70 lakh for this community hall were provided by the Parliamentarian out of his MP LADS Fund. A large number of people of the area were present at the inaugural function this morning.
While speaking on the occasion, the Congress MP expressed his concern over the very slow pace of work on the road to the village being constructed under PMGSY and said that when he was Minister in J&K Government during 2004, he had laid foundation stone of this road and due to lack of concern by the concerned people, this road still remains incomplete. He asked the concerned officers to provide adequate facilities of water, road, power and medical care to the people of this area. He also asked the concerned R&B officials to start work on Sandal to Palial and Pania to Palial roads under NREGA and announced Rs 10 lakh as machinery cost out of his MP LADS Fund and Rs 5 lakh for each road as his contribution and Rs 1.50 lakhs for installation of electric transformer.
During visit to the area, the MP also interacted with the Brig Ravin Khosla at Dori Dager and requested him to organize various medical awareness camps in this border belt so that the people get maximum benefit.
