POONCH, July 2: Member Parliament Jammu-Poonch Constituency Jugal Kishore Sharma today chaired District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting here today.
The meeting reviewed progress of centrally sponsored projects, schemes, flagship programmes and social security schemes in terms of physical and financial achievements.
The District Development Commissioner Mohammad Aijaz Asad made a detailed presentation.
The MP complimented the District Administration for appreciable achievements under various centrally sponsored schemes. He impressed upon the concerned officers to maximise public outreach for spreading awareness about Government programmes/schemes so that entailed benefits percolate to grassroots level.
Jugal Kishore also directed for expediting construction of individual/community bunkers and Seema Bhawan as the project has pivotal role in safeguarding lives of border residents during ceasefire violations and accommodating people during mass migration.
The meeting was attended by ADDC Abdul Hamid, SSP Rajiv Pandey, General Manager DIC Manzoor Hussain, ACR B A Lone, ASP Anwar ul Haq, ACD Mukhtar Sheikh, ExEn PHE, PDD, PWD and PMGSY Division Poonch and Mendhar besides District and Sectoral Officers.
