JAMMU, Jan 9: A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between American Oncology Institute (AOI) and Rotary International District 3070 Zone J&K in ASCOMS Jammu to provide discounted Cancer care services to the patients.
DGN Rotarian Dr Dushyant Choudary signed the MoU on behalf of Rotary International while Dr Mayank signed on behalf of American Oncology Institute. Rotarian Sanjeev Vaid Zonal Chairman J&K (2020-21) and Rotarian Sunil Kumar Sawhney Zonal Chairman (2021-22), will be the coordinator of the project.
As per the MoU, AOI will give discounts between 15 to 20 % to all the patients which will be recommended by the president of any Rotary Club of JK Zone. However, it is mandatory for the patients sent by Rotary Club to have authorization letter signed by the president of Rotary Club to avail the discounts.
For the patients recommended by Rotary Club, 1st OPD will be completely free in AOI while 20% discount will be applicable on various Radiation therapy packages, 15% discount on all IPDs surgeries (excluding drugs and consumables), Rs 1500 discount on Chemotherapy Administration charges and a flat discount of PET CT fees.
Adeep Mehta (president Rotary Club Jammu Tawi), Rotarian Vinod Mehra and Rotarian Navneet were present during exchange of MoU.
