UDHAMPUR, Dec 31: A motorcyclist died and his pillion rider sustained critical injuries when their bike was hit by a JCB near Mand, here today.
The deceased was identified as Pawan Kumar, son of Shosha Ram of Bhagatha, Panthal, Tehsil Katra in district Reasi while the injured nanely Parshotam Kumar of Bhagtha, was undergoing treatment at Narayana Hospital Kakaryal.
The motorcycle bearing registration number JK20/1460 was on its way from Udhampur towards Tikri when it was hit by a JCB near Mand resulting into critical injuries to the motorcyclist and his pillion rider. Both the injured were rushed to Narayana Hospital where doctors declared Pawan Kumar as brought dead.
A case in this regard has been registered at Rehmbal Police Station through Police Check Post Tikri. The dead body of the deceased Pawan Kumar was handed over to the family members after postmortem.
