UDHAMPUR, Aug 19: A motorcyclist died while his pillion rider, a woman, sustained critical injuries when the bike collided with a minibus near Jganoo Morh, here today.
The deceased has been identified as Suram Chand (50), son of Bachitroo Ram of Sarsu. The injured woman, Najira Begum (40), wife of Hasan Din of village Jonu (Talpar), has been admitted in District Hospital Udhampur for treatment.
According to police reports, the mini bus bearing registration number JK14C-4201, was on its way from Udhampur to Round Mail when the opposite coming motorcycle collided with it resulting into serious injuries to the victims. Both the injured were rushed to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors declared Suram Chand as brought dead.
