JAMMU, Jan 21: Domana Police arrested a motorcyclist with large quantity of illicit liquor.
As per police sources, on reliable information about smuggling of liquor ahead of weekend lockdown, a team from Police Station Domana laid a naka and intercepted a motorcycle bearing registration number JK02CP-1640 which was coming from Muthi towards Barnai.
During checking, police team recovered 9 bottles and 30 quarters of illicit liquor from the possession of the rider and arrested him.
The arrested person was identified as Sehyog Manhas, son of Shamsher Singh, a resident of Patta Khoo, Kangrail District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 30/2022 under Section 48 (a) Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Domana and investigation started.
The arrest was made under the supervision of SHO Domana Inspector Mahesh Sharma, SDPO Domana Sunil Singh and SP Rural Jammu Sanjay Sharma.
