JAMMU, Sept 14: Stressing upon the officials of the Corporation who have been assigned the duty of recovering loan from the beneficiaries, Vice-Chairperson of Jammu & Kashmir Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes & Backward Classes (SC,ST,BC) Develo-pment Corporation Limited, Balbir Ram Rattan, said that they should reach the defaulters and motivate them to repay their outstanding dues.
The gurantors of such defaulters should also be identified and make them aware that the loanees for whom they stood guarantee need to be convinced to pay back what has been availed as loan from the Corporation.
Balbir Ram Rattan, along with Divisional Manager, Jammu Division, Gulam Qadir Khatana, while discussing the status related to the wilful and chronic defaulters, said that efforts should be made to personally meet such beneficiaries and convince them to deposit the amounts of their long outstanding towards the Corporation.
He said that the task may be difficult but not impossible as sincere efforts always end up in positive results.
The VC further said that in case the old beneficiaries, who had availed financial assistance from the Corporation in the past, are adamant not to pay back the loaned amount, their guarantors should be approached and ask them to use their own influence in getting the loan money repayed.
Divisional Manager, Gulam Qadir Khatana, on this occasion, said that the strength of the recovery team for Jammu district has been enhanced and it is expected that the loan defaulters would be now motivated more effectively.
The officers who attended the meeting included Prem Nath Loni, Sanjay Abrol and Jatinder Singh.
