Mother-son killed in Kishtwar accident

JAMMU, Aug 12: A mother and her son were killed after a vehicle they were travelling in rolled down into river in Kishtwar district while as a 55-year old man died after he was hit by a shooting stone.
Police said that a Maruti van bearing registration number JK02A-2905, which was on its way to Thathri rolled down into river at Machipal Donaddi under the jurisdiction of Kishtwar Police Station.
Soon after getting information about the accident, police rushed to the spot and after hectic efforts body of Shamila Begum, wife of Mohd Shafi was recovered from the river. However, the body of her son Abdul Wahid remained untraced.
A case FIR No.170/2014 under Section 304-A has been registered at Kishtwar Police Station in this regard.
Meanwhile, a 55-year old man identified as Rustam, a resident of village Gundi in Ramban district died after he was hit by a shooting stone this evening.
