JAMMU, July 27: A woman and her four years old son were killed in a road mishap at Chowki Choura area of Akhnoor.
According to a police spokesperson, the woman identified as Parveen Sharma (38) wife of Sunil Sharma, a resident of Seri in Nowshera (Rajouri district), along with her four-year old son namely Kartik was on her way to home from Jammu on a car bearing registration number JK11A-5848 when she lost control over the vehicle and it turned turtle this evening at Chowki Choura.
In the accident, the lady received serious injuries while her son died on the spot. The injured lady and the body of the deceased boy were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where she was also declared as brought dead by the doctors.
The bodies of both mother and son were shifted to mortuary room of the hospital for conducting post mortem tomorrow.
The concerned police have taken cognizance of the matter.
