KATHUA, July 17: A young woman was killed and her daughter was seriously injured in road accident which took place at Hiranagar Morh on Jammu- Pathankot National Highway in Kathua district today.
The accident took place when duo mother and daughter was travelling on scooty bearing Registration Number JK08K 0307 which was hit from rear by a speedy car bearing Registration Number JK02CX 5985. The car hit with divider after hitting the scooty. Both the mother and daughter were seriously injured and shifted to Sub District Hospital, Hiranagar. The doctor declared the mother brought dead, whereas daughter has been seriously injured and was admitted in the Hospital. The injured girl is identified as Riya D/o Yog Raj resident of village Dhalli , block Dingaamb. The deceased woman was identified as Sunita Devi wife of Yog Raj resident of Dhalli. The Hiranagar Police has registered a case in this connection.
The body of Sunita Devi has been kept at the mortuary of Hiranagar Sub District Hospital while the girl was shifted to Kathua Hospital for treatment after getting first aid at Hiranagar SDH.
