MoS Home reviews security scenario

SRINAGAR, Jan 20: Minister of State for Home, Sajjad Kichloo today stressed upon the senior police officers to develop better police-public relations at the grass root level so that the problems and grievances of general public can be mitigated.
He was chairing an introductory meeting with senior police officers in PCR here. The MoS Home was briefed by Inspector General of Police, Kashmir S M Sahai regarding the overall security scenario in the Kashmir valley.
The MoS Home was also briefed about the security arrangements for the forth coming Republic Day functions at Bakshi Stadium Srinagar and all district headquarters of the Valley.
Mr Kichloo stressed upon the people friendly measures for smooth conclusion of the Republic Day function. He also emphasized upon building better police public relations so that the problems and grievances of general public can be mitigated in a systematic manner, besides imbibing confidence among the public in police.
The meeting was attended by DIG CKR Aafad-ul-Majtuba, SSP Srinagar Ashiq Hussain Bukhari, SSP PCR, Sheikh Mahmood, SSP Security Rafiq-ul- Hassan, SP Traffic Haseeb Rehman, SP SBK Haseeb Mogal, SP CIK Sheikh Junaid and all Zonal SPs of Srinagar.
Later, MoS Home visited Police Station Safa Kadal where he was given guard of honor. He also interacted with the jawans and officers of the Police Station.
