JAMMU, Aug 22: Union Minister of State for Home, Kiren Rijiju is visiting Leh from tomorrow to take stock of the situation along the borders.
Official sources told EXCELSIOR that soon after reaching Leh tomorrow, MoS Home would visit various areas along the Line of Actual Control between India and China in the district to take stock of the preparedness of Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP).
He would interact with the ITBP jawans at some locations and take stock of their preparedness to meet the Chinese aggressive postures especially those made during the recent past.
On August 24, the MoS Home would inaugurate International Buddhist Conference and in the evening he would receive brief from the Deputy Commissioner about the developments along the India-China and India-Pakistan border besides the status of implementation of Ministry of Home Affairs schemes.
