JAMMU, May 24: More than 12000 candidates have applied for admission in various Post Graduation courses in Jammu University as today was the last date for submission of the application forms without late fee.
Highest number of applications have been submitted for admission in PG Commerce, followed by English, Life Long Learning and other courses.
Jammu University Entrance Tests (JUET) for the admission are scheduled to be held from June 10 to June 16 while the Answer Key will be published on June 18. Last date for entertaining any complaint pertaining to Question Paper or Answer Key is June 20 while the JUET result will be declared on June 27.
The admission process had begun on May 8 with sale of application forms for JUET. Today was the last date for submission of application forms without late fee. The University had yesterday extended the last date for sale as well as submission of the application forms upto May 27 with late fee of Rs 60.
Pertinent to mention that admission to various PG Departments of the University, its Offsite Campuses and affiliated PG Colleges shall be made on the basis of Entrance Test and Academic Merit of Qualifying Examination. The final merit of a candidate out of 100 shall be calculated on 40:60 ratio of the marks obtained in the Entrance Test and percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination, respectively.
Candidates can apply for appearing in the Entrance Test to the maximum of five Programmes.
