JAMMU, Dec 27: Government today brought several services of Home, Health and Medical Education and Forest Departments under the ambit of Public Services Guarantee Act (PSGA).
According to SRO-428, Services of Home Department like copy of FIR, verification of Police Station concerned for certification of identity and issuance of Character certificate, copy of untraced report in accident or drowning cases, stolen vehicles and in theft cases, verification report from CID for passport and for newly appointed candidates and services of Health and Medical Education Department like Disability Certificate, Medical Illness Certificate, Medical Fitness Certificate and Post Mortem report, besides issuance of NOC by State Pollution Control Board (SPCB) for installation of industry or project, which comes under Forest Department, have been brought under PSGA.
The Government has designated officer/officers for rendering these services. Even first and second appellate authorities have also been designated.
