LOS ANGELES, Nov 14: Sony is planning a spin-off on Spiderman nemesis “Morbius: The Living Vampire”, after “Venom”.
The studio is in talks with “Power Rangers” writers Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless to pen the script for the untitled project based on Morbius, reported Variety.
Michael Morbius was a Nobel Prize-winning biochemist, who tried to cure a rare blood disease using an experimental treatment that combines electroshock therapy and vampire bats. However, the results were catastrophic and he developed vampiric qualities.
The character was created by Roy Thomas and Gil Kane and first featured in “Amazing Spider-Man”. (PTI)
