JAMMU, June 23: Month long Adult Education Programme organised by Sacred Heart College of Education, Azad Colony, Paloura, concluded today.
During the month long awareness programme, students along with Prof Jyoti Sharma, NSS Programme Officer, awared the people of the nearby locality about the ill-effects of illiteracy and also distributed reading material among the participants.
On the concluding day, Rajni Bala, Chairperson, was the chief guest, who while speaking, enlightened the audience about the result of literacy. She also stressed on women education.
While speaking, Hari Singh, Managing Director of the college, emphasized on such programme for the benefit of the society.
Prof Meena Gupta, Prof Jyoti Jamwal, Prof Anju Chib, Prof Raj Kumari Bakshi, Prof Dev Chhaya, Prof Suman Slathia, besides other faculty members, assisted the students in this campaign.
At the end, Dr KK Tiwari, Principal, presented vote of thanks.
