Monsoon has set in entire J&K, 10 days ahead of schedule: Met office

SRINAGAR: The South-West Monsoon has set in entire Jammu and Kashmir today, 10 days ahead of normal onset time on July I.

A Met department spokesman said here this evening that there could be light to moderate rain and thundershowers at few places over Jammu and Kashmir during the next 24 hours. There is possibility of one or two heavy spells in plains of Jammu division.

Isolated to scattered rain is predicted during the subsequent two days. He said there will be partly cloudy sky and the maximum and minimum temperatures would be around 32 degree Celsius and 20 degree respectively during the next 24 hours in summer capital, Srinagar.

There could be one or two spells of rain or thundershowers in the night and morning and the maximum temperature would be around 32 degree and 23 degree respectively during the next 24 hours in Jammu.

In Leh,  sky would be partly cloudy and the maximum and minimum temperatures would be around 30 degrees and 17 degrees srespectively during the next 24 hours. (AGENCIES)
