NEW DELHI: The Monsoon session of Parliament began today with both — the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha — paying tributes to the Members who passed away during the inter-session.
The Session will continue till August 11. During the period, both the Houses have important legislative agenda.
Yesterday, Speaker Sumitra Mahajan had held an all-party meeting at which leaders of Opposition assured her of cooperation in ensuring smooth running of the House business. Though, they said, they will be strongly raising a host of issues, needing nation’s attention. (AGENCIES)
