The training camp aims to equip local youth with the knowledge and skills required to become responsible and professional monastery and cultural guides. The program will cover key subjects including Ladakhi history, Buddhist philosophy, culture, ecology, heritage, and petroglyphs, along with practical guiding experience through field visits.
Participants will be expected to actively engage throughout the training, including walking during field sessions. Upon successful completion, they will be awarded a certificate and an official ID card, enabling them to work as recognized guides and receive preference from tour agencies during hiring.
Applications are open, and interested youth are invited to apply by filling out the registration form provided by the organizers.
