‘Molvi’ among 2 held for fake ‘Nikkah Nama”

JAMMU, Oct 30: Two persons including a ‘Molvi’ were arrested in forgery (fake Nikkah Nama) case by Nagrota police.
“A case FIR number 84/2020 U/S 494/420/465/466 /468/469/471/474/120-B was registered in police station Nagrota following a written complaint by a lady namely Parveen Akhter wife of Gafoor Khan of Shibba (Nagrota) on 21-02-20 that her husband contracted 2nd marriage with a lady namely Ulfat Kosser wife of Anwar Khan of Shibba without her consent and knowledge,” a police official said.
He said that the woman in her complained also submitted that Gafoor Khan hatched criminal conspiracy with Molvi Mohd Hussain alias Bittu son of Bahar Din of Sandhi Kanna (Chargal) who prepared false, fake and fraudulent document of ‘Nikkah Nama’.
The official said that during the course of investigation, the allegations were found to be true and it was found that Molvi Mohd Hussain prepared false, fake and fraudulent ‘Nikkah Nama’ and produced the same before the High Court Jammu in a PIL no WP(C) no 185/2020 titled Ulfat Kosser & Anr. v/s U T of J&K & Ors and used the same document for getting relief in case FIR No 342/2019 U/S 366/109 RPC of PS Nagrota which was already registered by the husband of Ulfat Kosser namely Anwar Khan son of Saif Ali of Shibba (Nagrota) against Gafoor Khan for kidnapping his wife.
“It came to fore in the investigation that the Molvi prepared forged document of ‘Nikkah Nama’ in back date to give undue benefit to the accused,” the official said, adding, both the accused have been arrested in case FIR No 84/2020 and further investigation is going on.
