SRINAGAR, May 26: Describing Narendra Modi led Government as Corporate regime, Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president G A Mir has said that NDA Government has proved a big failure in its first year.
Addressing party leaders and workers at one day political convention of district Anantnag today Mir expressed concern over the political instability in Jammu and Kashmir arising due to anti- people policies of the Coalition Govt. He said from the day one PDP- BJP coalition came into existence, it appeared that J&K has lost its identity with the continuous controversial statements by BJP leaders regarding the Jammu and Kashmir State. It disturbed the socio political scenario of the State, the credit for this goes to PDP only.
Mir said people of the State have never in the history, experienced such a Government. Despite passing through the turmoil, people of J&K have whole-heartedly exercised their franchise during the recent elections. They always reposed faith in electoral process every time, but the present regime of PDP BJP Coalition have disappointed them to a large extent, resulting into losing of faith in the present regime by the people.
Former PCC president Peerzada Mohd Syed lashed out at PDP- BJP Coalition for its non serious attitude towards the flood affected people not only in district Anantang, but in other districts also. He said people particularly traders shopkeepers, small business men have suffered much and were hopeful that PDP led Govt will get them rehabilitated, but what they got, they got disappointment and the promises only that the Government was not even able to fulfill one of them. The new recruitment policy which the PDP Govt is trying to implement will further alienate the educated unemployed people and due to this policy unemployment in the State will definitely rise to a great extent.
Former Minister Taj Mohi-u-Din expressed surprise over the remarks of Defence Minister during his tour to J&K, pointing towards another gun culture in the State. He said, perhaps Defence Minister is not aware about the situation in J&K. People of the State have passed through tough times due to gun culture. Hundreds of lives were lost.
Mohd Anwar Bhat, Haji Abdul Rashid Dar, Ghulam Nabi Monga, Hilal Ahmad Shah, Surinder Singh Channi, Mohd Amin Bhat, Gulzar Ahmad Wani, Farooq Ahmad Bhat, and Shaeen Nadaf also spoke on the occasion.
