JAMMU, June 8: BJP J&K UT spokesperson, Rajni Sethi said that Modi Government has efficiently handled the unprecedented Covid -19 crisis. Maximum wrong decisions which were the cause of crisis in the country in last 70 years, have been corrected in the last five years, Sethi said while talking to reporters at Akhnoor today.
She described the second term of PM Modi as “historic ” and claimed that the Modi Government had corrected many” historic wrongs “.She said that the NDA Government has always worked with the vision of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwaas.
Terming the last one year of Modi Government as a year of accomplishments and also a year of unimaginable challenges, she said Modi and his Government has done a lot for the nation.
In the first five years, the focus of the Modi Government was on major economic and social reforms. The first year of the second term has been about strengthening the nation and ensuring that its sovereignty is not compromised.
This Government has been responsive, receptive and with an ability to take bold decisions, she said. The Government is also focused on making India a self-reliant nation. During this Corona Virus crisis, the timely decision of lockdown and subsequent steps has saved the nation from a great disaster, Sethi added.
The Rs 20 lakh crore package that has been announced by PM Modi and Union Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman made it clear that the package is to ensure to make India ‘Atma Nirbhar’ (self reliant) nation, said.
Sethi said apart from the decisions taken during the Corona Virus crisis, the Modi Government has taken some extremely important steps that has strengthened the nation like scrapping of Article 370, 35A , abrogation of Triple Talaq which will now benefit the Muslim women.
Ladakh, a region that has been ignored for long, is now a Union Territory and fast-paced development will benefit people of the region, she added.
She said Modi Government brought CAA to ensure that those who face religious persecution in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Bangladesh can now seek safe refuge and inclusion in India. This too had been pending for decades. These bold and decisive decisions have not only made India a safer place, but also one united and strong nation, she added. BJP district president, Akhnoor, Jagdish Bhagat was also present in the press conference.
