NINAURA (Ujjain) : Expressing concern over the twin threats the world is facing now — global warming and terrorism — Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said that these take us towards conflict and time has come to accept some values which would give us solutions to these serious problems.
“We will have to tell the world in a language that world can understand and we will have to accept the changing values that take place with the time,” Mr Modi said while addressing the ‘ International Vichar Mahakumbh’ on the occasion of the Simhasth Kumbh Mela Parv.
The Prime Minister also mentioned about India’s role in the Climate Changing Convention in Paris where India played an important role and put the country’s view strongly.
Mr Modi stressed on the need for giving a modern outlook to the values. He said that we have to change the concept that our path is right alone that begets conflict and have to accept an universal acceptance. “India can guide the world in this direction,” Mr Modi pointed out.
He also mentioned about the values mentioned in Vedas, Upanishads and Shrutis and Smritis which could show the path umpteen solutions to the world.
The Prime Minister lamented about the projection of the great religious congregation about only “Naga Sadhus”.
“We should tell the world about the thought and tradition behind the “Kumbh Mela” and the people around the world should come to Indian universities to have a ‘case study’ about the inner meaning of our great tradition,” Mr modi said. (AGENCIES)
