Modi Effect: SSB blocks Nepal route for ultras

Even as over 20 militants, or former militants, along with their Pakistani wives and children reached Jammu and Kashmir from Nepal route in past one and a half months, the Seema Shastra Bal (SSB) has blocked entry of 12 families comprising 60 to 70 persons including former militants at Maharajganj in Gorakhpur district of Uttar Pradesh for past one week after Narendra Modi led BJP stormed to power.
Official reports received here said that 12 families comprising at least dozen former militants, their Pakistani wives and children had reached Nepal border for the past one week seeking entry into the Indian territory but the SSB, which works under the MHA, has not allowed them to let in.
The former militants hailed from Pulwama, Kupwara and Sopore.
Sources said the Home Department of Jammu and Kashmir Government has spoken to the SSB top brass in New Delhi and asked them to allow the former Kashmiri militants enter India on way to Jammu and Kashmir.
It may be mentioned here that during past one and a half months over 20 militants along with their Pakistani wives and children had reached Jammu and Kashmir from Nepal route. The militants reached Kathmandu from Karachi and then enter India from Gorakhpur.
A day before former militant had reached Surankote along with his wife and seven children from Nepal route.
