NOWSHERA, Sept 25: Chief spokesperson of JKPCC Ravinder Sharma (MLC) under took tour of Langar, Dhanaka, Chowki and Gania areas of Nowshera Sub Division and assessed the damage caused to the houses, crops cattle etc and also monitored the arrangements being made by the district administration after the devastating floods and rains.
During the tour Mr. Sharma interacted with the people and listen their problems. He also addressed series of meetings and highlighted the problems such as scarcity of drinking water, road connectivity and electricity, besides the ongoing relief measures taken by the District Administration.
Mr. Sharma announced to provide funds from his MLC’s CDF for installation of electric transformers, besides addressing the problem of drinking water. He also provided funds for improving road connectivity in some pockets of the area.
He also visited Beripattan school to meet the families shifted there because of their houses got damaged in the recent ravaged floods and heavy rains. He asked the authorities of Power Development Department to restore power supply to the School.
Mr. Sharma also met the officers of various departments and asked them to expedite the relief measures so that the people could re-construct their shelters before the winter.
