MLA Udhampur holds public darbar

JAMMU, May 24: Member of Legislative Assembly from Udhampur, Pawan Kumar Gupta, accompanied by officials of PHE Department, conducted a tour to village Mand East and convened public darbar for Kalth, Purohit Mohalla, Paddar Mohalla, Narsoo Mohalla and Kupari people.
The locals apprised the MLA about various problems being faced by them. They projected their demands in respect of drinking water, road connectivity and demanded regular supply of water to the whole Panchayat.
The MLA, after listening to the problems of the people, sought reports from the concerning officers and directed them for early redressal of the issues.  The MLA said that he is committed for socio-economic empowerment of the people, especially those living in far-flung and rural areas.  He further said that no stone would be left unturned in redressing genuine grievances of the people.  He promised to provide funds for construction of roads and also promised to provide a hand pump in the locality to solve the scarcity of water in the area.
Prominent in the darbar were Mansa Ram Seth, Ex Sarpanch, Sansar Chand, Kewal Krishan, Fukraj Begum, Madan Lal, Gopal Painter, Rohit Sethi and large number of people from Kalth, Purohit Mohalla, Paddar Mohalla, Narsoo Mohalla and Kupari.
