RAMBAN, Aug 17: The Member Legislative Assembly, Ramban, Neelam Kumar Langeh during a programme at Batote inaugurated the newly renovated water filtration plant at Batote by accomplishing long pending demand of residents of town besides laying the foundation stone of multipurpose hall of Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Batote.
He also inaugurated additional class rooms, smart class room at Government Middle School (GMS), Thopal a boundary wall and a smart class room at Government Girls High School (GGHS) Batote and four lanes in the Municipal Committee area Batote.
He was accompanied by the SE, PHE, BL Bhardwaj, Xen, PHE, Vijay Gupta, CEO, Ramban, Dr. Chandershekhar, Tehsildar, Batote, Srinath Suman, ZEO, Batote ,Lekhraj Goswami,   Executive Officer(EO), Municipal Committee (MC), Batote, Ramesh Gupta and Principal, GHSSB, ML Sharma.
During his day long extensive tour he also convened a meeting with the officers of various departments and citizens and discussed the several public issues. Responding to demands of public he sanctioned Rs.5 lakh for the multipurpose hall of the GHSSB in addition to the Rs.5 lakh already sanctioned for it under his CDF, Rs.10 lakh for the Community Hall at Thopal and Rs.two lakh for the modernization of the GGHSB.
He also sanctioned 50 desks for the GMS Thopal, 60 desks for the GGHS Batote and assured public for endorsing their demand to Government for establishing a Government Degree College at Batote.
While speaking on the occasion, he said that education sector is on priority in his agenda of development besides providing basic infrastructure facilities like potable water, power and road connectivity, electrification of left out areas in his Ramban Constituency.
He directed the EO, MC to ensure the quality of development works ongoing in the town and directed heads of the school’s to intensify Swachh Bharat Abhiyan in their schools besides the high morality and character building among students apart from good results. Meantime a colorful cultural programmes was presented by students in honour of the MLA.
