RAMBAN, Aug 22: Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) Ramban, Neelam Langeh distributed scooties among the seven differently abled people at district Social Welfare Office Maitra Ramban. On this occasion MLA was accompanied by the District Programme Officer ICDS, Ashok Pandita, District Social Welfare Officer, Varunjeet Singh Charak, other officers and large number of people.
MLA while handing over the scooties to the beneficiaries said that people should come forward from all walks of life especially the downtrodden for taking benefits of the Social welfare and other schemes run by the Central and State Government for their upliftment.
Meantime people were also made aware by the department about the different welfare schemes launched by the government for women, children, socially backward and weaker section of the society. DSWO apprised that scootties have been provided to the beneficiaries who are handicapped with more than 40 % physical deformity and feel difficulty in moving from one place to another place.
The beneficiaries thanked MLA for taking into account their genuine requests and for providing the scooties which would help them in a large scale in future.
