MLA Nubra interacts with IOC officials

JAMMU, Dec 28: Member Legislative Assembly (MLA), Nubra, Deldan Namgail convened a meeting with Senior Divisional Retail Sales Manager-cum-State Level Coordinator and other officials of Indian Oil Corporation here today regarding setting up of a new petrol pump at Nubra.
In the meeting MLA, briefed the Indian Oil Corporation officials about the potential sale of petrol, diesel and lubricant oil. He further said that there is huge scope of sale of lubricant oils for all light and heavy vehicles.
MLA assured the IOC official to provide a feasible land in Nobra valley for commissioning of new petrol pump at the earliest.
Talking about the LPG dealership requirement, MLA also directed the IOC to complete the commissioning of LPG dealership at Panamik and Tyakshi villages under RGG-LPG-Vetarak Scheme, which has been laying since many years due to which the people of Nobra valley have to spend Rs 1500 per cylinder for refilling.
In addition to it, the already applied dealership must be directed to complete the infrastructure at Panamik and Tyakshi so that the people from far and remote villages like Yarma and Turtuk can avail the services without having to shell out money more than it costs. Concerned about the insufficient stock, MLA also directed IOC officials to release sufficient stocks at Nobra sub-division which remains cut-off from district headquarter Leh during the winter season.
IOC officials assured to complete the dealership at Panamik and Tyakshi in a time bound manner. They also assured that the advertisement for new petrol pump will proceed for further completion of formalities and the same will be sent to their regional office at Chandigarh.
