MLA marshalled out of house for creating rucks in Assembly

JAMMU: Independent MLA Engineer Rashid was today marshalled out of the State Assembly after the Deputy Speaker ordered his suspension for the session for two days for disrupting proceedings.

However, Deputy Speaker Nazir Ahmed Gurezi later revoked his order and allowed him come back to house with a direction not to disrupt the house again.

The MLA had raised ruckus in the house in protest over detention of an 86-year-old man and a 14-year-old minor boy under the Public Safety Act (PSA) by police and sought a reply from the Government.

Later while giving reply in the house, parliamentary affairs minister Abdul Rahman Veeri said that as per the SSP and DC the boy is not minor. (AGENCIES)
