Doda, May 13: MLA Doda, Shakti Raj Parihar, today convened a public grievances redressal camp at Mohalla, a remote village in the district to take stock of problems and demands of people at their doorstep.
The MLA also laid foundation stone of 2 link roads including 6 km from Mohalla to Khankoot to be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 3 crore under NABARD and 10 km from Jatheli to Malwana to be raised with an estimated cost of Rs. 11.38 crore. These roads will provide connectivity to thousands of people living in far flung areas of the district.
ADC Doda Nariender Singh Bali , ACD Doda, Xen PDD, Xen R&B, Xen PHE among other sectoral officers accompanied the MLA.
Speaking on the occasion, the MLA expressed dissatisfaction over the condition of roads in the district. He assured the public that the present Government is determined to translate their commitments into action by providing connectivity to the rural areas and maintaining the condition of already constructed roads. He said that the process of identification of the areas without road connectivity has been started and work on such projects will be started shortly.
Parihar interacted with people of the area and after giving them a patient hearing issued necessary directions on the spot to the concerned authorities for redressal of their issues.
