RAMNAGAR, Apr 14: Dr Sunil Bhardwaj, MLA Ramnagar, today inaugurated the construction work of a new minibus stand at Ramnagar.
The initiative aims to fulfil the aspirations of the people by providing an organised, safe, and efficient transport facility. The project will be developed at a total estimated cost of Rs 276 lakhs.
The inauguration coincided with the 135th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution and Basakhi. Paying tribute to Baba Saheb, Dr Bhardwaj highlighted that the project reflects the ideals of inclusive development and equitable access to public infrastructure, as envisioned by Dr Ambedkar.
Addressing the gathering, Dr Bhardwaj emphasised that the new minibus stand will streamline transportation services, ease congestion, enhance commuter convenience, and boost local economic activities. He stated that the project is the outcome of consistent efforts to address grassroot issues and improve public amenities. He further underlined his vision to strengthen rural infrastructure and develop Ramnagar as a heritage city, ensuring balanced growth while preserving its cultural identity.
Linking the initiative with the national vision of “Viksit Bharat @2047,” Dr Bhardwaj remarked that such infrastructure projects are vital building blocks in achieving the goal of a developed and self-reliant India. He reiterated his commitment to ensuring that Ramnagar progresses in alignment with the broader developmental agenda of the nation.
