JAMMU, July 22: Taking quick action on the demands of residents of his constituency, MLA Akhnoor Rajeev Sharma inaugurated newly constructed lane at Arya Smaj Mohalla , Ward No. 10 at his local town today.
Accompanied by a large number of people including Municipal Corporation Akhnoor officials, local residents of the area, many social and political activists of the area, the MLA formally inaugurated the new lane.
The work was executed under the supervision of MC Akhnoor at an estimated cost of Rs 4.84 lakh. The works include tile work of the lane and construction of drains.
The MLA stated that many new works will also be started in coming days which will improve the system of providing basic amenities to the masses of Akhnoor.
He said that in coming days, the works of black topping of roads will also be taken up by the concerned departments in order to provide best road connectivity to the residents of not only Akhnoor but other people of the villages in his constituency.
He appealed to the masses to contribute in the noble cause by promoting the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi of building a “Clean and Green nation” and requested everyone to spare some time to contribute in the noble initiative.
Executive Officer, Gharu Ram, SHO Akhnoor and several other officers were also present on the occasion.
