MLA inaugurates mega job fair at Kathua

JAMMU, Dec 21: MLA Kathua, Rajiv Jasrotia today inaugurated mega job fair in which nine companies participated to offer jobs to the candidates.
Job fair was organized by District Employment and Counselling Centre Kathua and Deputy Commissioner, Rohit Khajuria was also present on the occasion.
While addressing the youth, MLA said that the Government plays an important role as a facilitator to provide jobs to the youth. He said that to create ample opportunities for the youth, it is necessary that all available resources should be explored to redress the problem of unemployment.
Highlighting schemes launched by the Centre Government for tackling the issue of unemployment, MLA said that MUDRA Yojana, Start up India, Stand up India, Make in India and Skill India are few initiatives launched to create jobs and skill enhancement. He also disclosed that it is not possible for any Government to provide job opportunity to every unemployed youth but awareness must be created among the youth regarding these schemes so that they can reap maximum benefits.
MLA asked DC Kathua to prepare a data base of local youth employed in local industries to keep a tab on their employment and monitoring on daily basis.
Speaking on the occasion, DC said that this job fair will benefit the candidates where they can have multiple job options to choose for their employment. He said that 9 private companies are participating in this fair by offering 265 vacancies. District Employment and Counselling Centre is providing excellent opportunity under one roof to the job aspirants, he added.
Deputy Director Employment, DC Bhatti informed that the fair was organized under National Career Service (NCS) as it brings together all stakeholders like job seekers, employers, counsellors, trainers and private placement agencies to facilitate convergence of information and create synergies through these associations and work towards bridging the gap between job-seekers and employers, candidates seeking training and career guidance and agencies providing training and career counselling by transforming the National Employment Service.
