MLA, IAS Probationers call on Governor

SRINAGAR, July 13: Usman Majeed, MLA Bandipora, met Governor N.N. Vohra, at the Raj Bhavan here today.
Majeed briefed the Governor about certain important issues relating to the recent law and order situation in the Valley.
The Governor appreciated Majeed’s concerns and urged him to continue sustained efforts for promoting peace and normalcy all over Kashmir.
A group of 3 IAS Probationers of 2015 Batch who have been allotted Jammu and Kashmir Cadre, accompanied by Dr. Arun Kumar, VC and DG IMPA&RD, J&K, and Dr. Khurshid-ul-Islam, Course Co-ordinator, IMPA&RD, also called on Governor.
The group of IAS Probationers comprised Baseer-ul-Haq, Ch. Mohd. Yasin and Sachin Kumar Vaishy.
The Governor urged the Probationers to make the best use of their ongoing training programme in the State and gain a close understanding of the problems faced by the ordinary people, particularly those living in the remote and difficult areas of J&K.
He advised the young officers to maintain the highest level of probity and integrity and complete dedication to the honest and efficient discharge of their responsibilities. He also advised them to learn the State and local languages, which would enable them to gain first hand understanding of the challenges faced by the people at large. The Governor wished the officers bright careers ahead.
