MLA distributes relief among flood hit people

JAMMU, Sept 17: Expressing his grave concern over the devastation caused by flash floods and incessant rains in the villages of Suriya Chak and Rambagh in Tawi Island, BJP MLA from Raipur Damana, Bharat Bushan alias Boddhi demanded that these people be provided immediate relief.
The MLA who toured the entire area today to assess the losses also distributed relief among the affected people in the shape of rice, flour and sugar.
He said over 80 houses have been totally damaged in the twin villages while many have developed cracks and people are taking refuge under open sky.
The MLA, while assuring all help to these people said that he would take up the issue with the representatives of both Union and State Government.
The MLA was accompanied by Yash Paul Sharma, Rajiv Arora, Ram Paul Panch, Mangat Ram Gupta, Puran Bhagat and Gagoo Charak.
