RAMBAN, Nov 8: Member Legislative Assembly, Neelam Kumar Langeh distributed LPG connections under the Prime Minister Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY), here today.
About 300 connections were distributed among the beneficiaries in a function held at Ramlela Ground Maitra. The function was organized by the Indian LPG Gas Agency Ramban and was attended by the prominent citizens and general public.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA said that providing LPG connections to BPL households will ensure universal coverage of cooking gas in the country. He said the measure will empower women and protect their health.
He asked woman to avail the benefits of various welfare programmes.
