UDHAMPUR May 4: Member Legislative Assembly Chenani Dina Nath Bhagat today inaugurated Chapperi mela at Sarar village where thousands people thronged and paid obeisance at the darbar.
Addressing the function the MLA said that upgradation of basic amenities especially in hilly and far-off areas was the priority of the government. He said in this regard the government has taken various measures to revamp the developmental profile of these areas. He said focussed attention is being paid to upgrade and improve the infrastructure facilities under core sectors in Chenani Constituency.
Mr. Bhagat reiterated that being a public representative his priorities would be to pay focussed heed towards the development and welfare of the people of the Constituency.
Responding to the demands, the MLA announced funds for community shed at darbar.
Meanwhile, The MLA took a detailed stock of peoples’ problems and developmental needs during his extensive visit to various villages of the Constituency. He conducted surprised visit to the Chenani Hospital where one patient was seen unconscious and after enquiry from concerned medical officer and his family members it came to notice that the company engaged for execution of tunnel work is playing with the life of the employees working there as no first aid facilities or other facilities are given to employees which is a gross negligence on their part. MLA assured the family members of the patient that their complaint would be projected before the State government and before the government of India so that basic facilities be given to employees.
