JAMMU, Dec 9: MLA Akhnoor Rajiv Sharma chaired the meeting at forest guest house organised by Firewood Union Akhnoor.
Both forest authorities and local contractors including general public were present in the meeting.
Union president Bachan Singh speaking at the occasion urged the authorities to make laws of cutting and transporting of fire wood simple. They also demanded help from the forest officers regarding permissions etc.
Sharma assured the Association for providing them every possible help. He also directed the forest officials to provide hassle free genuine permissions to the needful.
Firewood is a basic necessity for the human being to survive. It is used for fuels, bakery, hotels and other units.
Ranger Sham Lal, block forest officer Sachin Choudhary, and Vinay Kumar ,
Dev Raj ex Sarpanch, Davinder Kumar Sharma, Thoru Ram, Bodh Raj, Sham Lal, Sohan Singh Lambadar, Satpal, Jaswant Singh, Dwarka Nath ex sarpanch etc were present there.
