JAMMU, Sept 12: Manoranjan Kala Kendra (MKK), Jammu today performed a Punjabi play ‘Sach Kee Bela’ here at Abhinav Theatre.
The play is written by Charan Singh Sindra and directed by Tejinder Singh Premee, a well known Punjabi Theatre Director of Jammu.
Ashkoor Ahmed Wani, Inspector General Police (IGP) was the chief guest whereas Dr Baljit Kour HoD, Punjabi Department, University of Jammu, Dr Sunita Puri, Superintendent, Government Dental College & Hospital, Jammu and Dr Taran Singh, Superintendent, Government Ayurvedic Hospital, Jammu were the guests of honour on this occasion.
The play ‘Sach Ki Bela’ is based on human values in the context of modern world. The theme revolves around the conflict between good and bad in the characters of ‘Farishta’ and Shaitan. Whereas the references of great prophets were taken to support the ideals of these values, other characters include Man- the Manav, Earth- the Dharti, Civilization- the Sabhyata and Woman- the Aurat as characterrs.
The dialogues were filled with philosophical ideas and references of spiritual scriptures from religious books and sayings. It’s evident everywhere in the play. To count such one example in the fifth scene of the play, Dharti and Sabhyata enlighten the Manav for pure life and force him to unfold the same to the innocent beings who can live with this in their lives, with happiness. The play shows the ultimate victory of good over evil.
The actors who performed in the play were Mukesh Sharma, Tejinder Singh Premee, Shelly Singh, Kavita, Sharnam Sharma, Shahid Khan, Sohan Verma, Shilpa Rasttan and Shubhan.
