JAMMU, July 25: Mission Statehood J&K, led by Sunil Dimple today staged protest demonstration against Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) and Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) for not getting ‘Smart City Award’ which was recently announced by the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.
The protestors were shouting slogans against the JMC and SMC and in favour of their demands and demanded that a CBI inquiry should initiate against the two premier Corporations for allegedly failing to bag any award of ‘Smart City.’
Dimple alleged that tons of bleaching powder as well as testing kits of worth crores were destroyed at PHE Narwal store for unknown reasons and the department concerned seems least bothered about it and demanded that at least Mayor and Deputy Mayor of the JMC should resign from their posts for failing to bring Jammu city in the development map.
