POONCH, Aug 26: The dead body of a missing youth was recovered from the river near Magnad in Poonch today.
A police spokesman said that the deceased has been identified as 26-year-old Sabar Hussain, son of Mohd Ashraf, resident of Satwari in Jammu. He was working as daily wager in Health and Sanitation wing of Poonch Municipality for the past some time. The youth was reportedly in affair with a girl hailing from Kamsar village.
He was missing for the last two days and his body under mysterious circumstances was recovered from the river bank near Magnad. The police shifted the body for postmortem to District Hospital, Poonch and later handed over to the family. The police has launched inquest proceedings.
